Postponed! - #24

Although the last two weeks or so were spent getting ready for the research showcase, our showcase was postponed to this Wednesday, March 2, due to extreme weather conditions last Wednesday and Thursday. I was obviously very disappointed, but I was honestly also a bit relieved in a way. Having it pushed back a week gave me more time to prepare and brace myself with a more positive mindset that would help me less my stress and nervousness. I feel way more prepared now than I did last week, and I think the fact that it was postponed did more harm than good, at least in my case. This also gave me more time to focus on researching for my final product. Since reading trends is a very big aspect of my project, I conducted additional research on the music industry trends of 2022. There have been increasing numbers of streaming service users in the past year or so, more than any other previous years, and it is a safe assumption to say that this trend will continue throughout the next few years. Based on this information, I decided to focus on the digital marketing areas of my company. I will utilize the current technology available in our world today to effectively promote my artists globally and diffuse them into different cultures. I am planning to research more this week about the digital aspects of the music business industry to gain more insight into this specific topic. I am excited for the showcase this Wednesday, and I cannot wait to interact with the audience that will be available at the location.
