New Semester, New Beginning - #16

With the two week winter break, I was able to take a break from school as well as ISM for a little and refresh my mind. It was a good pause from the busy deadlines and a chance to really enjoy my personal life for a bit without stressing about not turning an assignment in on time. During the process, I thought about how far we have come in our ISM journeys. Can you believe we are already halfway done? I remember so vividly the first few weeks of ISM where I stressed about having to schedule interviews and research my own chosen topic all by myself without much pre-existing knowledge. I remember being so nervous for my first professional interview, as well as going out to buy my first professional suit and being excited, and getting ready for the business symposium just a few months ago. Even as I am writing this blog, I can really feel that I have grown a lot as a young professional and that I have learned more than I ever imagined I would about so many different topics. I know how to reach out to professionals, how to network with my peers, and how to conduct professional interviews in unfamiliar settings without panicking. I have improved a lot in my public speaking skills as well through the different presentations we have given in class which is one of the things that I am the most proud of, as public speaking has always been my weak spot. I cannot wait for all the new experiences I will be going through this semester as we prepare for our final product and meet with our mentors. I am very grateful for being part of the ISM journey as well as for Coach Goff for leading us with amazing guidance.
