Getting Ready... - #23

Last week was a week dedicated almost entirely to getting ready for the research showcase that we have this coming Wednesday. I worked all week on my display board, staying up late printing out all my materials and putting them down on my trifold. I went out to get extra supplies throughout the week, and to be really honest, it was tiring, but it was also so much fun. I loved designing my board with my color scheme, and making it look exactly how I want it to look made me feel in control. The fact that I was in charge and was responsible for preparing myself for the showcase event made me feel proud to be an ISM student. While trying to think of ways to more effectively present my original work, I got to reflect on my first semester progress and think of different ways that I could have possibly implemented to improve my work. I got to organize my thought process and review all the information that I needed to present. However, I am still very nervous for the showcase. I have no idea how things will go nor how many people will be there, and that gives me a bit of anxiety. At the same time, I am excited to gain new experience through ISM, and I know for a fact that this will be a huge growth experience for me.
